Alexander has over a decade of experience in law and banking. Before founding Artemis, Alexander worked at top tier commercial law firm Allens in the M&A team before moving into the startup ecosystem. He has worked closely with founders and growing businesses across the entire venture lifecycle from formation to funding, and all the way through to exit. His experience ranges from significant public and private transactions having advised on transactions worth cumulatively over $2.6 billion, all the way to day-to-day legal issues that arise when growing a business.

Alexander’s approach is pragmatic and client-centric. He is a trusted adviser in times of crisis and a steady hand through high-stakes decisions, combining sharp legal judgement with a genuine understanding of the commercial realities his clients face. He has been described as a “true founder’s lawyer” for his founder-first ethos and his understanding of the unique pressures founders and scale-ups face as they grow.

Alexander holds a Master of Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, where he attended as a General Sir Monash Scholar and an Oxford SDG Impact Fellow. Alexander also holds First Class Honours degrees in law and design. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds various board roles at community organisations across Australia. He has substantial corporate governance experience in the NFP and charity sector.
